This festival invites people to gather in honor of the patron saint of naples, italy, san gennaro, to celebrate italian culture and history.

Twice a year, the festival of san gennaro, honoring the main neapolitan holy saint gennaro, comes alive in las vegas—celebrated in may and september, and more recently in south florida (tampa & hallandale beach). The feast honors san gennaro, the bishop of benevento, italy, who died a martyr in 305 ad during a religious persecution.
